"AN HONEST DAYS WORK " |
| This painting depicts the pride of the Hawaiian people in their taro patches. The farmers used to trade taro with the fisherman. The amakua in the background is Lono, god of harvest. Here, in the man’s hand, is the keiki (baby plant) to be replanted and the fish represents the trade that has happened. It is about the cycle of life. |

"MENEHUENE DIVER " |
| This depicts the lush Hawaiian reef. Some locals will know all the names of these fish. The orange color of the octopus is the true color when it is angry or frightened. To me, the underwater is like a smorgasbord of swimming fish sandwiches. |

"PELE AND KAMAPUUAA" |
| This is the fire goddess with her lover, Kamampua'a. In Hawaiian mythology, Kamapua'a comes to Pele in many forms, such as a pig or a fish as well as a handsome man. Unreal handsome. Eventually she destroys him and his body parts come up as ferns around the Halemaumau crater where she still lives. |
